might as well say that the message isn't an answer, but rather a question that urges readers to be patient with the story and find their own answer
even if the author has no "right" answer for that question either
the thematic message from aBoD is literally yet figuratively nothing is what it seemed
the rest of the exploration team, the fiction-within-fiction characters, are the mouthpiece summing up some public attitudes around the Deross masscare, even though they came from neutrality
and lastly, Narrator likely enbodies whydunit rather than whodunit (Warrior, Herald) or howdunit (Sage), with a grip of emphasis in the fact that he came back to strike the bargain as well for his child's sake
...randomly Herald and Warrior hmm seem funnily close but ANYWAY
the text for the quests feels like it could easily make a novellette; probably should try to do an exact word count
we got some inbetween parts of omitted for sure but technically this is an unpublished draft so possible that it wasn't at a full novel length
saying they got a lot alr
I was considering saying that I got half of the storage being necklaces too but thonk back because that sounds like inappropriate gloating more than anything
and then they left π should've acted like an insistent neighbour grandma giving out candies
one match where I dealt the last attack to kill the boss and then the teammate gave me the necklace and some more feathers and said it was for me
...I was confused but took it and they even gave me some feathers to test the altar
ytd I got necklace and it happened again π¦
nice teammates that round too bc 1 tried to explore after 3 of us got out and they ran out of mint
one immediately rushed back for them as they asked to get recalled bc if recalled they'd lose all loots; I did the recall and tried to give them the necklace but they declined π
