Dexter is finalizing a brand new, entirely non-custodial solution for @solana that does NOT involve locking funds in escrow accounts.

Instead, we've combined on-chain contracts with passkey authorization and battle-tested smart wallet standards. In doing so, we've found an incredibly clean solution that adheres to both the spirit and spec of the @x402 protocol (and @mpp, too).

This allows the remote form of OpenDexter to work seamlessly EVERYWHERE that supports MCP from Claude and ChatGPT on mobile/web to Bolt, Lovable, Replit, consumer AI apps, and hundreds of other major platforms.

Tentpole 2: Interface for Agent Action

To transact, agents need to be equipped with a way to hold money, act on human intents, and spend it. OpenDexter is that tool.

Why 'Open'? Two reasons that its openness is a unique asset and a claim that only Dexter can make:

1) There are enough walled gardens with curated services for agents already. It shouldn't be up to us to limit your agent's capabilities to only those from our partners or incumbent web2 merchants.
Instead, we index the entire universe of x402, enrich and maintain data on all for quality control, and wire everything through so that your agent has all the info necessary to make informed decisions with your money.

2) OpenDexter is also open in the sense that we want agents to emerge out of the command line interface. Today's agents live in the CLI, but tomorrow's do not.

Tentpole 1: Settlement

The foundation. With USDC being the standard, agents and merchants needed a trustless path for multichain abstraction and gasless transactions. In December, we opened our x402 facilitator to the public for free.

Why free? Because the receipt is worth more than the fee. More on that later.

Since then, Dexter has processed >60% of activity on Solana and has expanded to 7 additional chains.

Today's agent wallets don't cut it. Dexter currently maintains, to our knowledge, the only facilitator that can seamlessly process every type of Solana smart wallet in existence. We've contributed to the upstream repo in order to bring this capability to all, grow smart wallet adoption, and give agents just the right amount of power.
