I lied to you. And to myself.
I’m not a designer.
I know how to do design very well. I can solve problems instantly in my head. I have the intuition.
But I don’t feel like a designer.
All my life I was an artist.
Writing published poetry.
Touring with my bands.
Painting.
Designers are not artists. We constantly emphasize that.
And leaning into the design side made me lose a part of myself.
I need to shift back. Be primarily an artist again or I’ll be unhappy.
My approach to building these apps is also more art than design. Evoking emotions. Breaking UX patterns.
There may be an artistic path in building digital products after all.
I don’t want to be a designer anymore. Because deep down it just wasn’t me.
I don’t know yet how that mindset shift will go but I need it.
That’s also why so many of my design courses going free. To cut off the past.
To be continued…
We’ve entered this era where designers throw an AI image into a hero, add a couple links and a button, and proudly declare, “did I cook?”
Brother and sisters. Stop it.
@sudeepsd_@framer This is not going in my portfolio lol. I just wanted to try out WebGL animation so was just exploring. Even I'm not a big fan of this tbh.
@Kabir_Singhhx@X I get your point about bias, but my idea is more about exposing accounts that pretend to be from another country to push narratives. It’s about catching false identities, not judging content based on nationality.
What if @X introduced a country of origin label for tweets?
It could help curb misinformation by exposing people who pretend to be from another country to spread misinformation and harm its image internationally.
Unsure of how VPNs would affect this tho.
@Shreyanka_P@X Yea lately there have been too many cases.
Although this solution would not solve this problem in its entirety but it'll be a step to curb misinformation on X.
