After Purdue knocked off Texas, Big Ten favorites are now 32-5 SU in the NCAA Tournament (vs. non-B10) over the last three years
(Wisconsin has 3 of those 5 losses)
@GeneEgdorf@BarstoolBigCat@MarchMadnessMBB@CBSSports@truTV That’s the point, everyone knows the tv broadcast is behind, but the score bug gets updated in real time. Meaning if you have 2 screens you’ll see the score update on the score bug before you see the action on the other. People are asking the for the score bug to have same delay.
Luka got traded for a box of lucky charms and Shedeur made the pro bowl imma go ask my boss for six figures since things are just happening for no reason
The regression police will be out in full force telling you the 2026 Bears will suck, and they could, because that’s sports.
But this team has so many spots to grow. Defense was essentially garbage the majority of the year. Offense got better and Caleb can and will get better.
People continue to treat the #Bears like they went 11-1 in one-score games instead of 8-5.
Maybe 2025 was a one-year wonder, but there's a better chance that with another offseason of adding, they'll be better next year.
Enjoy fantasy land, Packers fans. It's all you've got.
Saying what the Bears did this year isn't sustainable or that they will regress to the mean somewhat insinuates that they peaked in terms of their potential.
No guarantee on improvements, no doubt. But let's not act like they had everything going their way either. And this doesn't feel like their peak on either side of the ball.
This was a team without a pass rush from their front four for most of the year. Nearly impossible to be contending for a Super Bowl with that lack of pass rush production. And yet they were one of the last 5 teams fighting for the Lombardi.
An inconsistent, albeit explosive, offense that was in it's first year, learning a complex system, with a 2nd year Quarterback. An offense that featured some of the most drops of any team in the NFL. You have to imagine the offense will have better timing, rhythm and consistency next year. Especially now that they've identified how Colston and Luther fit into this equation.
A team that led the league in games missed by starters due to injury. Something they've been dealing with from Week 1 on. Injuries are part of the game, everyone deals with them, but unlikely they have the amount they did this year.
This is a team that won 11 games, the NFC North, a playoff game over their rivals and did not play to what their full potential can be, in theory. I fully acknowledge that players can play worse from one year to another but with this coaching staff? Unlikely.
They definitely had some good fortune with their schedule at times. I'll acknowledge that. Impossible to say how the schedule will be next year. A pointless exercise until late August and even then. It's always not who you play, it's when you play them.
I could see the defense have less takeaways but be better overall. I could see this offense become much more consistent in Year 2 with Ben, Year 3 with Caleb, rookies played a huge role this year for the offense.
You cannot underestimate how important this playoff experience was for this team. 2 games coming down to the end. They learned some valuable lessons.
The best point anyone can make for the Bears to fall back, isn't the Bears themselves, it's the division. The NFC North is a gauntlet. These coaches aren't going anywhere. And the Bears were 2-4 in the very division they won.
The Bears will most certainly load up on defense, fine tune an offense that has few additions to make for next year. Hopefully get healthy. Ben now has a season worth of Bears tape to evaluate his players.
You can point to outlier Bears teams that were one year wonders but this coaching staff and team feel different.
Just some morning thoughts. Why sleep when I can just purge all of this out of my system and onto the timeline.
You can’t blame Caleb Williams for the INT in OT….. the Bears have the absolute perfect play called
The lack of effort by #2 is really telling….you can’t give up on this route like this. #DaBears
