Kyrie Irving shares a motivational speech to young hoopers at camp:
“This mission is bigger than the basketball court. I pray you guys understand that you have a chance to change your life, with the game of basketball to… gain insight. Gain knowledge. Last year, I had a very traumatic injury… it’s been a long year mentally and emotionally. When something that you love gets taken away from you for a temporary moment that really defines you.” 🙏

I want to be calm and clear:
This will impact every American who is not a multimillionaire.
One accident.
One bad day.
One diagnosis.
That’s all that separates most people from needing the social safety net they spent their entire lives paying into.
I know it’s become pretty cliche and cringey to talk about at this point but if you’re under like 25 I cannot stress enough how one time Obama wore a tan suit and people spent a week arguing over whether or not it was demeaning to the Oval Office and they were serious about it.
We not jealous like yall. If a 7’6 two way player winds up being the GOAT it’s perfectly acceptable Wemby has intangibles that’s just impossible for normal players to have.
Still won’t change what Lebron accomplished and that he was the best player of his generation.
Mind you, when it was convenient yall was saying lame ass shit like “I am not my elders and ancestors.” Like they were ever weak. Just for them to show up and do more than us in their seasoned years while we tweet.
