Your thought process needs to be documented, I can’t find a single thread line holding the tongue.
The last selection is excellent because it has more room in the toe section, unlike the typical shoe last used for loafers and oxfords.

You pull in the right directions, you get results. The combination of the apron or bow and tassel came out well. My next fix is a double monkstrap
