As they're trending, these are still some of their practices that makes their society wierd.

-No birthdays, not even “Happy Birthday”
- No Christmas or Easter
-No voting or political participation
-No saluting the Nigerian flag
-No standing/singing the National Anthem
- No military service
-No political rallies or campaigns
- No joining other religions’ worship
- No celebrating certain national holidays (E.g Independence day but on that day, they won't still go to work).

And some of them won’t even participate in certain competitive activities ( Like village football League matches etc).

During NYSC, one of us was punished by the LGI for not participating during the National Anthem. Because if you wouldn't participate in it, why then did you register for NYSC in the first place...

I always encourage people to apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship because, recently, they have been offering many scholarships.

In our faculty alone, three of our colleagues got PhD scholarships at the same university and in the same department—two in 2024 and one in 2025. I happened to be a referee for one, maybe two, of them.

So, look for universities and programmes with a history of giving many opportunities.
