Let me tell you something many people don't know about all of these Core i3, i5, i7 and i9.
Many people don't understand that each of them has its uniqueness.
You don't just say "I want Core i7" merely because it's Core i7. You need to consider what exactly you want to use the laptop for.
I'll deferentiate between all these cores.
But first of all....
What exactly are these things called cores?
Think of them as workers inside your laptop. Basically, they determine your laptop's level of performance.
1.πΉ Core i3 (Basic performance)
Good for ordinary activities like:
β’ Browsing the internet
β’ Microsoft Word/Excel
β’ Online classes
β’ Watching videos
β’ Emails and everyday tasks
If you're just using your laptop for student work and casual activities, then Core i3 is all you need.
2.πΉ Core i5 (Mid-range performance)
This one's good for:
β’ A certain level of multitasking
β’ Programming
β’ Office work
β’ Photo editing
β’ General professional use
β’ Some level of gaming
For many people, Core i5 is the sweet spot, especially if you want a balance between basic functions and a little bit of extra efficiency without having to break the bank. Students, programmers and office people can definitely go for this.
3.πΉ Core i7 (High performance)
Designed for more demanding work, and it's good for:
β’ Video editing
β’ Serious multitasking
β’ More demanding software
β’ Gaming
β’ Graphics/design work
β’ Professional workloads
This is a good deal for graphic designers, video editors, and people who might want to use some really demanding software.
4.πΉ Core i9 (Very high performance)
Generally a very high-end Core option, designed for people who need a lot of processing power, such as:
β’ Serious professional video editing
β’ 3D rendering
β’ High-end gaming
β’ Heavy professional workloads
Most ordinary users don't need an i9 at all, and that's probably why the highest you'll easily find people advertising in the Nigerian market is i7.
.....
Having said all that...
I must make something clear:
Checking the Core isn't enough.
You also need to check the generation and exact processor.
For example:
Core i5-8250U β 8th Gen
Core i7-1165G7 β 11th Gen
Core i5-1235U β 12th Gen
Core i7-13700H β 13th Gen
The letter at the end also matters:
The U, P, H, or HX at the end have what they mean. I'll make a separate post explaining them later.
Another thing worth remembering: always choose an SSD over an HDD.
One of the biggest mistakes I made early in trading was believing that if I wasnβt taking trades, I wasnβt improving.
So I would open my charts every day looking for something.
Monday? Trade.
Tuesday? Trade.
Wednesday? Definitely trade.
Even when the market wasnβt giving me anything clear, I would somehow convince myself that a setup was there.
And that was the problem.
I wasnβt reading the market anymore.
I was trying to make the market fit what I wanted to see.
It took me a while to understand that professional trading is almost quite the opposite.
Some days, the best analysis ends with:
βThere is nothing here for me.β
Some weeks, price may accumulate longer than expected.
Sometimes your weekly DOL is clear, but the entry model never forms.
Sometimes price reaches your POI and gives absolutely no confirmation.
You donβt have to participate in every move.
The real skill is knowing the difference between:
A market you donβt understand
and
A market that hasnβt given you an entry yet.
Both require patience.
Your edge does not need to appear every day for it to be profitable.
In fact, if you constantly need a trade every single dayβ¦
You probably donβt have an edge.
You have an addiction to activity.

You can become absolutely everything you dream about.βΌοΈ
Please, never let anybody convince you otherwise.
Sometimes I look at my life and genuinely get emotional because I remember when some of the things I have today were once just prayers, plans and things I could only imagine.
And somehow, life changed.
Not overnight,
Not without difficult days, and definitely
Not without moments where I questioned everything.
But YES, it changed.
The crazy part is, Iβm not even where I want to be yet, Iβve only scratched the surface.
Thatβs why Iβll always believe that anybody can make it out of life.
The difference is that some people want it badly enough to keep going through the seasons where nothing seems to be working.
So if life feels slow right now, donβt let that make you believe your story will remain this way forever.
A lot can change in a very short time.
Everything you currently call a dream today can become your reality one day.
I genuinely hope it does.
I hope you look back someday and smile at how far you came.
Wishing us all a profitable 2nd trading week of the month ahead.
Rooting for you, always. β€οΈ
Last year, someone publicly said I wasnβt a profitable trader.
Before the year ended, Iβd turned $1k into $100k, grown another account from $200k to $1 million, and received a five-figure prop firm payout.
All done live with my community. Trades shared before they played out. Verifiable records.
And that isnβt even all.
But let me tell you how we got thereπ
βDax isnβt a profitable trader.β
βDax is not disciplined.β
βHe hasnβt won a single trade in 3 months.β
βI will beat him hands down when it comes to trading.β
βHe relies on mentorship fees.β
These were some of the things said about me.
My free Telegram channel already had records anyone could check. Yet some people believed him, laughed and ran with the narrative.
I kept quiet.
Not because I had nothing to show. I could have pulled out receipts going back to 2023.
But you can know the truth about yourself and still watch a false story shape how people see you.
I trusted my ability. I also cared about the name Iβd spent years building.
So I gave people fresh results to judge.
First, $1k β $10k, with my Myfxbook link attached. Then $10k β $100k.
That same month, I documented a prop firm challenge, got funded and received over $16k after the split from $20k+ in profit.
Then came $200k β $1 million. Announced before I started. Shared as it happened.
Other challenges that year included:
β’ $80k β $200k
β’ $60k β $160k
β’ $30k β $90k
β’ $60k β $150k
You can go through my Telegram channel or X profile and check the posted records.
This year:
β’ $90k β $250k
β’ $20k β $250k
β’ $20k β $178k
β’ $2k β $47k+
And many more I don't remember..
These are challenge accounts, separate from my main trading portfolio.
Two high-end cars bought from trading profits last year. Another this year.
All as an βunprofitable trader.β π
But the lesson goes beyond the money.
Past success can become a comfortable place to hide. You keep reminding people what youβve done while losing the hunger that got you there.
I chose to push myself again.
You donβt owe every critic a response. But I wasnβt going to let defending my reputation take more energy than building it.
Between last year and this year, my community watched the trades and the account growth. They had records to check, not just my word.
Thatβs why the narrative lost its weight. Anyone still repeating it has to ignore the evidence.
Next year, Iβm stepping away from the toxicity in FXNG. I want to trade, build, teach and enjoy what Iβve worked for.
Weβre getting older. Bringing another man down shouldnβt still be how you try to rise.
Lastly: when someone spits on your name, donβt let defending it become your entire life. Keep building something youβre proud to put that name on.
Iβm proud of how I handled mine.
Now I have bigger things to doβοΈβ€οΈ
