@BBCSport It was always a dumb strategy to sit back on a goal lead with over 35 minutes remaining. A better one would have been to keep them pinned in their own half and frustrate them into errors but the players and then Tuchel have taken the lazier and more dangerous route.
@ChelseaFC only the owners and the directors of football who appointed Rosenoir in the first place didn't know that it was the dumbest appointment at a top football club doomed to fail. Now let's watch as they make another dumb and dumber appointment. Chelsea now a mid table club
@ChelseaFC we have d most indisciplined players in all Europe & no one will win anything with that. Also do the players really respect the coach? All d coaches combined recruited since firing Thomas Tuchel don’t measure up to his knees & you wonder where they’re going with this
@ChelseaFC the owners of the club are doing a very poor job and are going to destroy this club with their strange, mostly imprudent decisions from the people managing transfers to some the players they buy and the unrated managers they recruit. It’s almost idiocy.
@ChelseaFC Though sometimes I criticize Coach Maresca I think that the Management got it right appointing him. Yes he does overthink strategy like Pep sometimes but if he’s supported he could become one of the greatest managers in EPL history. The signs are there.
@ChelseaFC Malo Gusto should be fined his wages this week for the stupidity of his sending off. There has to be a clampdown on the incessant red cards and indiscipline in general if not it’ll cost us dearly down the road this season.
@ChelseaFC maybe Maresca is a bit over his head because of the CWC win. He should climb down and see what managers with much less resources and quality players are doing at Bournemouth and Crystal Palace. He should knuckle down & work otherwise he’ll be out of the job by new year
@ChelseaFC I think Maresca needs to change something in his management style. There’s indiscipline in little things like taking corners with silly short passes that leads to possession turnover. Too much needless back passes too and panicky substitutions once we have a red card
@ChelseaFC from a managerial point of view Maresca has done really poorly in his preparation for this match and his substitutions and tactics after the red card. Everyone in football knew that we needed a top goalkeeper and defender but the club bluntly refused. A shame really
@ChelseaFC sometimes you just wonder with Maresca. Colwil is a weak defender and makes poor decisions and mistakes too often. For me Badiashile or an academy defender would do much better. We just keep toothless possession with no purpose for the wingers.
@ChelseaFC there needs to be much more discipline/professionalism in our overall game. The kind of silly fouls and yellow card situations will cost the team one day. Players should show hunger to win matches and fight till the final whistle. It’s the way to win trophies.
@ChelseaFC too much casual play and stalling in our attacking play is why we’re suddenly vulnerable to the counterattack. The casual air becomes contagious and when the opponent shows hunger to get behind us suddenly we’re not as urgent to deal with the situation.
@ChelseaFC part of the weakness in our play now is Cole Palmer when he’s not moving/passing the ball quickly. He almost always gives the ball away when he’s stalling with the ball. The overall offensive passing has to be quicker with crosses low and high coming earlier.
