After deep theological research, I have concluded that the Olodo Uprising has scriptures backing it. 😂

Exhibit A
"The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong... but time and chance happeneth to them all." Ecclesiastes 9:11.

Translation:
First Class graduate, calm down. Your classmate who borrowed your assignment may still become your MD because time and chance have logged into his account.

Exhibit B
"It is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy." Romans 9:16.

Translation:
Your CV is 12 pages. His CV is "Available to start immediately." Guess who gets the job? Mercy has spoken.

Exhibit C
*"I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth."* Ecclesiastes 10:7.

Translation:
Professor becomes Special Adviser to the man who used "center table" as his WAEC examination centre.

Exhibit D
"For by grace are ye saved through faith... not of works." Ephesians 2:8 and 9.

Olodo Theology says:
"Not of works" means forget reading, forget preparation, forget competence. Grace will submit the assignment, write the exam and attend the interview.

Brothers and sisters, this is how false doctrine is born. 😂

The Bible never celebrates ignorance. It celebrates God's sovereignty. God can lift the unlikely, but He never commands people to remain unprepared.

So before someone builds an entire ministry on "The race is not to the swift," kindly remind them that the same Bible also says:

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge."

"Study to show yourself approved."

"Do you see a man diligent in his work? He shall stand before kings."

In conclusion, the Olodo Uprising is a funny Nigerian social commentary, not a biblical doctrine.

Go and acquire knowledge. If mercy meets preparation, na jackpot be that. 😂

Read the Quran’s stories: no chronology, almost no geography, kings called only “Pharaoh,” events floating in no particular year.

Where did the story happen? When? Under whom? The text doesn’t say. You can’t check it… which conveniently means you can’t crosscheck it.

Now read the opening of Luke 3:

“In the FIFTEENTH YEAR of the reign of TIBERIUS CAESAR — PONTIUS PILATE being governor of JUDEA, HEROD being tetrarch of GALILEE, his brother PHILIP tetrarch of ITUREA and TRACHONITIS, and LYSANIAS tetrarch of ABILENE, during the high priesthood of ANNAS and CAIAPHAS…”

SEVEN historical anchors in one sentence.

An emperor, a governor, three rulers with their exact territories, two high priests.

And people HAVE checked — for centuries, often trying to break it. Skeptics mocked Luke’s “Lysanias of Abilene” as an error…

UNTIL an inscription naming Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene turned up.

Pilate was called legend by some… until the Pilate Stone was dug up at Caesarea in 1961 with his name and title carved in it.

Luke 1:3-4 tells you why: “Having followed all things closely… that you may have CERTAINTY.”

Certainty. That’s the offer.

One book floats above history where nothing can touch it.

The other planted its flag in checkable ground and said: dig.
