This is a huge blunder. Jesus calling out religious hypocrisy isn't the same as rejecting organized religion. He came to fulfill religion, not abolish it! (Matt 5:17).

1. Jesus lived as a devout Jew.
He was circumcised, attended synagogue every Sabbath, obeyed Mosaic Law, and traveled to Jerusalem for religious feasts like Passover. (Luke 2:21, 4:16; John 2:13)

2. He built a organized community.
Jesus didn't just teach solo. He chose 12 Apostles, gave them authority, and explicitly said, "I will build my church." (Matt 16:18)

3. He gave us formal sacraments.
At the Last Supper, He instituted the Eucharist and gave a direct command for an ongoing religious practice: "Do this in remembrance of me." (Luke 22:19)

4. What Catholic teaching says:
Catholic theology defines religion as giving God the honor and worship He is owed. To say Jesus wasn't religious implies He didn't honor God, which contradicts everything He lived for.

People gathering to praise the God they actually believe in? Suddenly “extremism,” “indoctrination,” or “weird.”

That’s not principle. That’s selective outrage. You don’t object to large gatherings or passionate belief. You object to this one.

If your worldview only has room for stadiums when they’re selling tickets instead of singing hymns, just say that.

I have said this before, and I believe it is important to remind Nigerians of my position as we approach 2027.

Peter Obi has my support for the presidency.

But my position is clear, I am not supporting the idea of Peter Obi becoming somebody else’s Vice President.

The day Peter Obi accepts a Vice Presidential position, I will walk away from his corner. I have said this plainly, and I stand by it.

My concern is not about personalities. It is about the kind of leadership Nigeria needs and the direction in which we want our country to go.

I have also argued that we should begin to rethink the age of those seeking executive office. The Nigerian presidency should not become a retirement home for politicians.

I believe there should be a serious national conversation about limiting presidential and gubernatorial candidates to those aged 70 or below.

Nigeria needs leadership that is focused on the future, not simply another cycle of political succession.

These are principles I have stated publicly, and Nigerians should judge them for themselves.
