A UK man has received a suspended prison sentence after years of burning and selling unauthorised remix CDs featuring music from well-known artists.

Although CDs are a decades-old format, authorities launched an investigation in 2018 and spent four years building the case.

Marc Kearns pleaded guilty to multiple copyright offences. He received a 26-month prison sentence suspended for 18 months and was ordered to complete 250 hours of unpaid community service.

According to local officials, “This activity enabled him to commercially exploit protected material, generating income at the expense of legitimate artists and businesses within the music industry.”

AMD has quietly removed the security feature called Transparent Secure Memory Encryption (TSME) from consumer Ryzen processors via newer BIOS firmware updates.
This encrypts data stored in RAM, making it harder for someone with physical access to steal information

The hardware remains capable of supporting the feature, which is still available on Ryzen Pro and EPYC processors. Users discovered the change only after updating their BIOS and noticing that memory encryption was no longer available.

Many users feel AMD should have clearly explained the change, especially since some systems lost the feature after firmware updates.
AMD has not provided a public explanation for removing memory encryption from consumer Ryzen CPUs.

Steam has become Capcom’s biggest source of revenue.

According to the company’s latest financial report, revenue from Steam increased by 61.1% over the past year and made up 31.1% of Capcom’s total revenue.

Steam also generated more revenue for Capcom than PlayStation, whose share fell below 10% of total revenue.

The company has previously said it wants PC to become its main platform and aims for PC sales to account for around 80% of its game sales in the future.
