@murasakilst07@Marierosebanana Saying this retarded bullshit when RE4 released in 2005 and it's one of the best shooters of all time. Go fuck yourself.
I love san andreas and gta 4 because they're some of the most fun crime sandbox games, it's about what you can do but it all serves a purpose and helps for main missions or just crime in general
That being said, I'm somehow not excited at all for gta 6
I know GTA6 has a lot of hype and is part of a beloved series but I really don't understand how people can think it'll be the greatest game of all time.
Going off the rest of the series and what we've seen of this game, it doesn't seem to do anything revolutionary or particularly unique, and I didn't find GTA5 to be particularly great as it was.
Narratively there are truly special games like Fatamoru which tackles forgiveness, religious zealotry, identity, sexual trauma, Signalis covers similar themes, what it means to be human, stories that change you as a person, gameplay-wise there are games that master one element like DMC or Sekiro, games that offer massive variety like 2077 or Elden Ring.
Many of these titles do multiple of these things at once.
Idk man, I grew up with Vice City and San Andreas but as I got older I really grew out of GTA and ever since I just don't see what everyone else sees in them, not from lack of trying. I'm sure GTA fans will love it but for me I don't see it being anything special.
@SavageKid5027 i don't mind the linear structure of gta 5 and rdr2 as long as we have more freedom (tho personally i prefer the mission design of san andreas and rdr1), as long as it takes advantage of the sandbox elements im fine, love how in tbogt and SA you can bring tanks into missions
TF2 was such a beautiful game, man. Modern TF2 maps just don't have the sauce. They can't re-create that original TF2 look and feel. You can't capture that with a silly summer camps or ziplines. How I yearn for more thoughtful additions over waterparks and gimmicks.
TF2's "culture" has been reduced to insisting Red team be... red. You're now inciting a "war" if you uphold Red team remaining identifiable as red, with the color red, not green, for the sake of gameplay readability. Hell, for the sake of the game's identity in general.
What the fuck are we doing?
BACK THEN FOR 80 BUCKS I COULD GET A GAME WITH A POSTER OR A STATUE!!!
I COULD GET A FULLY DETAILED MAP!!!
NOW I CAN'T EVEN GET A DISC WITH AN INSTRUCTION MANUAL!!
