Let me preface this by saying I have NO IDEA what will happen after Trump is indicted & charged on the January 6th related crimes. I will, however, throw in my “two cents.”

Jack Smith hasn’t built his career prosecuting parking violations. He’s gone after, and prosecuted, the worst of the worst; war criminals.

Of anyone I’m familiar with at this point and time, who truly understands the precipice democracy is clinging to, it is John “Jack” Luman Smith.

Politically, he’s an independent. As a prosecutor, he’s nothing short of a highly intellectual wolverine determined to apply the law fairly and hold Donald J Trump accountable….period.

The Jan 6th case isn’t going to be handled by the ever compromised Judge Cannon. No. These charges will be handled by an ACTUAL judge, who does things like actual judges do. What’s an actual judge? A judge who doesn’t get their marching orders from the defendant in the case they are handling.

If there is any prosecutor that, at this point, would ask for pre-trial confinement, I believe it would be Jack Smith. Will he? I have no idea. If he did, would the judge agree? I have no idea. What I do know, is that this isn’t Jack Smith’s first rodeo. Whatever he does, or doesn’t do…it won’t be an accident. It will be a thoughtful and deliberate move…and one that I will fully support.

Would I be stunned if Trump got pre-trial confinement? No. Not really. The son of a bitch is trying to start a Civil War. However, I won’t be shocked if he doesn’t, either.

Step back…detach a bit….breathe….and take it all in. For two solid years I begged people to hang on, not give up, and be more patient than they’ve ever been before. I said he would be indicted multiple times. That he would be prosecuted, and convicted…and ultimately, sentenced.

It’s happening. It is. Now….NOTHING can stop it. Nothing. Do. Not. Give. Up. Now. We will be victorious. Democracy WILL prevail.
