Today, together with @kyutai_labs, we’re introducing our new Audio-to-MIDI model.

It takes a finished recording, identifies the instruments playing, and returns separate MIDI tracks for each — voice, drums, bass, keys, and more.

Unlike most existing solutions, our model works directly from the full mix rather than requiring separate stems.

It also detects chords, key, and tempo, giving producers broader musical context.

Linuxカーネルの権限昇格脆弱性「Bad Epoll」が公表された。通常ユーザーがroot権限を得られる可能性があり、Linuxデスクトップ、サーバー、Androidに影響する。修正はすでに公開されている。

Bad EpollはCVE-2026-46242として追跡されるuse-after-free脆弱性で、epollコード内に存在する。epollは多数のファイルやネットワーク接続を監視する標準機能で、無効化できない。

研究者Jaeyoung Chung氏によると、カーネル内の2つの処理が同じ内部オブジェクトを同時に扱い、一方が解放したメモリへもう一方が書き込むことでメモリ破壊が起きる。競合の時間幅は約6命令分と短いが、同氏のエクスプロイトは窓を広げ、クラッシュさせずに再試行し、検証環境で約99％の成功率でroot取得に至ったという。

Chung氏は、Chromeのrendererサンドボックス内からも発火可能で、Androidにも到達し得る点を挙げた。GoogleのkernelCTFにゼロデイとして提出され、技術詳細は公開されたが、実攻撃の形跡はない。

影響を受けるのはLinux 6.4以降を基にした未修正カーネルだ。6.1系や一部Android端末は、原因となる2023年のepoll変更前のため影響しない。回避策はなく、上流コミットa6dc643c6931または各ディストリビューションのバックポート適用が必要である。

While it will come off subscriptions after July 7th, we aim to restore Fable as a standard part of our subscriptions as soon as capacity allows, as we mentioned in our original blog post.

明日から復活するFable/Mythosの仕様について、Anthropicから詳細な解説が先ほど出されました。正直、当初はかなり厳しい使い方になりそうです。
・政府と安全策を厳密に見直し、新しいものにした
・これに従い、コーディングやデバッグなど、日常的な用途であっても一部はOpus4.8への入力となる
・この措置は今後数週間で誤検知を減らすようにして改善する予定
・アメリカ政府やビッグテックと安全策・ジェイルブレイクの研究を続けていくための新たな枠組みを検討
・7月7日までは週使用制限量の50%までにFableが含まれるが、それ以降は従量課金

Claude Fable 5 will be available again globally tomorrow.

After a series of productive conversations with the US government, we're redeploying the model with a new set of classifiers to target and block more cybersecurity tasks. In the near term, some routine tasks like coding and debugging will fall back to Opus 4.8. We’ll continue to refine these classifiers over the coming weeks to reduce false positives and better distinguish genuine misuse from legitimate requests.

We’ve also begun drafting a consensus framework—with Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and other Glasswing partners—for assessing the severity of AI jailbreaks and how AI developers should respond to them. We invite other industry partners and model providers to join us in this effort.

Finally, we’re scaling up our collaboration with the US government on model testing and safeguards. This will include pre-release access to models and safeguards for evaluation, information sharing on jailbreaks and misuse, and dedicated resources for joint research.
