On 08 & 09 January 2024, we had two short grid failures in our region. Each lasted less than 30min. However, at -29c/-19F the importance of shelter, heat, and comms becomes critical during a grid failure.
Food for thought

Some of you have been extremely kind over the years. Not certain what I've done to deserve it, but I appreciate you all immensely!
Thank you 🙏👍 @oh7teme

Tällä hetkellä hyvin vahva tunne, että tarviisin ainakin kolmet tai neljät aivot. Enempikin! Ekoilla lukisin, toisilla kuuntelisin musiikkia, kolmansilla tekisin musiikkia, neljänsillä ajattelisin, viidensillä juttelisin täällä, kuudensilla kirjailisin. Yhtä aikaa. 🎶

There was so much "hate" generated from my last video. I thought to remind ya'll to watch. 🤣👍
Keep in mind it's a field test to prove or disprove how pragmatic this approach is technically.

If we can only afford a single HF Gokit for SHTF, would a modular radio and accessories be a better approach? Here we have a 160-6M 60 watt go kit, including radio, amp & battery. All in the size of an IC-705. Why don't we see more modularity in ham radio gear?
