“The last person that was universally liked was Kendrick Lamar, and now motherf**kers be making sh*t up to not like him.”
“If people like you, get ready, because they’re gonna not like you pretty f**king soon.”

J. Cole gave an aspiring rapper some advice after listening to his music 🙏
Cole later shouted him out at his show: “He said he need a feature. I see you, I appreciate that sh*t.”
Chike proved on this album that he isn’t a one-trick pony. He’s so much more than just the turn-up records people may know him for. He still gave us that energy, but he also showed real versatility throughout this project with introspection, love, vulnerability, and moments where he really allowed us to see different sides of him as an artist. He even got in his singing bag a little bit. And I think that’s what makes this album work so well, he didn’t have to abandon what people already love about AZChike to prove that there’s more to him.
