Complaint

I respectfully file this complaint against Senator Ronald “Bato” M. dela Rosa for his prolonged absence from official Senate duties without any formal notice or explanation submitted to the Senate President, the Senate Secretariat, or the committees in which he serves.

Basis
1.Senator dela Rosa has been absent for nearly three (3) weeks, missing plenary sessions and committee hearings.
https://t.co/kEE3OfuGau medical certificate, travel authority, or written explanation has been provided to Senate leadership or any committee.
3.His unexplained absence has delayed legislative work, disrupted proceedings, and reflects neglect of duty, contrary to RA 6713 and the standards expected of public officials.

Requested Action

I respectfully request that the Committee:
1.Require Senator dela Rosa to explain his prolonged absence;
2.Investigate the circumstances of his failure to notify the Senate;
3.Impose appropriate sanctions, if warranted;
4.Issue measures to prevent similar conduct by any senator.

Closing

Public office is a public trust. A senator’s duties cannot be set aside without accountability. I urge the Committee to act on this matter promptly.
