Today is National #TeaDay. Taken in the early-1930s, this image comes from the National Coal Board collection. It shows a miner from #Penallta Colliery having tea at home after work, before the opening of the colliery’s pithead baths.
On this day in 1911 suffrage supporters boycotted the census, arguing if they were not treated like citizens with a vote, they should not be counted.
