25tBSC prices down again £1.80kg to £1.85kg ex wks with export around £1.91 ex equivalent on EU dom price circa £2.10 ex equiv. Spot milk prices, simply no one needs the milk, main trading range 18ppl (S) to 25ppl (B) but some distressed loads going for as low as 12ppl delivered.
@kiteconsulting@chriswalkland Intresting discussions. 1 point I would make is how come Irish Co Ops still manage to pay out on average better than the UK price ? When adjusted for Fat and Protein. I think they have better markets, better run, don’t do low value deals with retailers. @chriswalkland

Contract diary farming opportunity in the midlands of England. Please get in touch for more information and share with people that could be interested. Thanks.
Extra margin seems to be hanging on in the UK dairy sector compared to world markets ? Is this from the price inflation on food leaving some in the pot for the UK farmer ?
Same with Ag …. When will we start laying the carbon bill at the consumption of a product not the production. Everyone gets a carbon quota for a year then it’s up to you how to use it ?
Thanks to the organisers efforts @POSITIVEFARMERS conference.
Another spot on set of papers lots to think about. Bit of a rough flight home but we made it !
Don’t panic just yet #teamdairy turns out producing milk on a mass scale at a profit is actually quite difficult. If you invested early you would be hurting at 90% loss in share price . https://t.co/msWLevrJDX
New data out of New Zealand: sheepmeat and beef below 15 & 22 kgCO2-eq per kg of meat, resp (with GWP100). When using GWP* for 1998-2018 & taking into account sequestration, sheepmeat is climate neutral & beef is heading in that direction.
