It's kind of crazy how if 8-2 at Old Trafford didn't happen, we would never have signed them both on deadline day. Both went on to captain the club and become both club and academy mangers. Destiny is a funny thing.
Now, after 25 loyal years as a fan, I bear witness to Arsenal being champions once again. My one and only Arsenal. Victoria Concordia Crescit. North London Forever.
Sincerely, from one fan tucked away on the other side of the world - thank you.
I only got to watch the team play in 04 when my dad got Astro. The highs were unbelievable. Invincibles, Henry etc. But the lows were so brutal. Years of banter, years of pain and then came the 8-2 defeat to United.
Then we signed the guy that will change it all. Mikel Arteta.
A flawed player, but my god this guy has the DNA of a genius manager. Stuck by him through the rough early years and now we bear the fruits of his principles and mentality. He took us from โno cojonesโ to challenging the giants again.
I never even watched football. But in 2001 my dad bought me a PS1 (hadiah no. 1) and because of my brother, I started playing Fifa. That was the beginning of everything. That was when I fell in love with Arsenal.
