@kumailn We’re not even seeing our local friends-like-family that we wouldn’t have to travel to see. It’s going to be our little family of three, like all our meals for the past 9 months.
@coopknits I can’t imagine how painful it was to feel like nothing has been learned in the past few centuries, that your family’s lives were still not valued.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but if you’re depressed due to the pandemic meds can help.
I resisted when my cancer made me depressed because I thought depression was your brain lying to you, and I was sad b/c of a real, bad thing.
Meds can make hard things easier to bear.

Being comfortable saying “no” to family and friends trying to nudge you past your risk boundaries is going to be an important pandemic skill.
Acceptable invitation responses: “no thanks, that’s too much contact for me”; “EpiEllie says I probably shouldn’t, but thanks”
@helloyarn This was the entirety of the day I was diagnosed with cancer and it was so confusing. Who are you? How are you different from the other doctor I’m apparently now scheduled with? Does it matter who I see first?
