John Bolton-Libertarian, English School Believer, Solidarist.
In this time of unprecedented division, maybe we ought to start listening rather than fighting
John Bolton's attorney Abbe Lowell on Bolton's guilty plea:
"Ambassador Bolton did what real leaders do. He took responsibility for a mistake he made, thereby saving the government resources to pursue a case that could expose additional sensitive information. By contrast, President Trump thumbed his nose at the classified information laws, took actual classified documents to his Florida mansion, interfered with the investigation of that conduct, and has never accepted any accountability for his conduct. Ambassador Bolton, whose offense was only keeping a diary which contained classified information, kept a record to preserve history, but Donald Trump kept secrets to serve himself.”
Melat Kiros has said the massacre of Israeli civilians on Oct 7 was "the inevitable consequence of apartheid."
I asked Kiros if she thought the same thing about 9/11 and US foreign policy.
And she declined to call the firebombing of Jews in Boulder an act of anti-semitism.
@DivisiveDevices Some people just hate you and like to launder their hatred through politics. Don't make the mistake, even for one second of thinking they like you, or might like you, if you just do one thing differently.
it is kinda funny to see people in SF politics pining for Mamdani when his housing and transit policies align him much closer to Scott Wiener and Daniel Lurie than Connie Chan
@DrewPavlou I like the grafitii pushing back. If you're in my city Drew I think you should look at all of it -- your in it's worst parts, but it's best shine bright too.
People chanting "From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free" at a @nycDSA victory party, attended by @NYCMayor.
Quick reminder: The phrase “From the River to the Sea” refers to the entire territory between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, including all of Israel.
Let me be clear: Supporting Palestinian rights is not antisemitic. But calling for the elimination of the world's only Jewish state is.
During my third term in Congress, I strongly backed President Bush’s Plan to Introduce Private Savings Accounts in Social Security.
Now We Know That Workers Would be Much Richer Today if Congress had Passed it. -WSJ

The Trump admin is proposing a huge rule change to the Endangered Species Act, redefining "harm" to mean ONLY actual physical killing or injuring of protected species, and NOT loss of habitat, interference w/ breeding, etc.
Enormous negative consequences for endangered wildlife.
SCOOP—a new leader in the Brooklyn Democratic Party, elected in Tuesday's left-wing wave with help from DSA figures, promoted Henry Ford's infamous 'The International Jew' on social media, calling "the truth" and demanding it "better be the topic on the table"
I, like most Americans, think that the average family and young person deserves a better shot at a decent life. I also think that socialism doesn’t work in real life, that America is good and filled with good people, and that it’s okay to work with people who don’t agree with me.
A Jewish student was subjected to persistent and escalating antisemitic harassment at a Colorado middle school, and the school failed to effectively stop it from continuing. So we took action. ADL filed a federal civil rights complaint against Boulder Valley School District.
As @JGreenblattADL told @FoxNews: every teacher should be trained to reject antisemitism.
We tried!! But Warren acolytes ran Biden’s populist economic policies that contributed to inflation, which voters hated. We also warned against the woke excesses but were ignored there as well. Voters hated that too.
Biden was not a policy moderate. He was a policy populist (he was the most left-wing populist Democratic President in the last 50 years). Other than Israel, there is not one issue on which he wasn’t to Obama’s left.
He just had moderate vibes because he beat Bernie in the primary and was an old white man who liked ice cream.
Moderates are not responsible for his policy mistakes that led to Trump’s re-election.
