@comodejoelfaso@FededelCorro I think the truth is the vast majority of English people would feel that the Falklands Are English, but we also like Argentines and your culture. Yours is a beautiful country that we respect, in spite of whatever politics and international relations does.
@HenryHenryHenri@DatOne____ No, American marketing pronounces it that way as that pronunciation has taken hold there. In other markets such as all over Europe they use the correct / original pronunciation
@WilliamOHa10947@BigDazG@afneil I have my lunch which is bigger than yours, but I want some of your lunch too. If you don’t want to give me your lunch you must just want me to starve and that’s selfish.
@cvpayne I agree with the sentiment on the rebrand but…This was due to them literally stopping the manufacture of new cars and just selling the last of stock at dealers. Jeez
@WallStreetSilv@PaulHook_em Just a point of clarity - it isn’t the national (UK) government in this case, but the Mayor of London (who belongs to a different party to that in government)
@Se_Railway Thanks. My complaint to Se is the policy itself & the additional, unnecessary cost to customers being denied reasonable access to the cheapest ticket. My complaint to the ombudsman relates to that practice & the misleading info from Se suggesting a NR ‘standard’ for all operators
@Se_Railway Am I right that I can’t buy a weekly ticket without first getting a photo card at one of your stations? I need to commute from Kent this week & that policy would force me to get a daily ticket - costing nearly £100 more for the week. Pretty outrageous if so
@Se_Railway Yes I will be thank you, and to the Rail Ombudsman. As you say, this is a policy that Se has - it isn’t a universal standard across NR as linking me to that page might suggest. And it is one that effectively prevents me from accessing the cheapest available ticket
@Se_Railway I think Se knows exactly what’s it’s doing here. Making it impractical at best for passengers to get a cheaper ticket. Having a policy (not set as a ‘standard’ by network rail) that penalises ad hoc travellers
@Se_Railway So catching a train first thing on a Monday morning, Se expects me to go into a Photo Booth to take a photo, wait for it to print, go to a ticket office, queue up for however long, fill out a form, wait for the photo card to be created, then to order and have my ticket printed?
@Se_Railway But I need a passport photo, which I don’t have and didn’t know I needed…again, as I just need to travel this week.
The link you sent just says photo cards are required for most season tickets. I can buy a weekly ticket on SWR and collect from the station
@101Sargon@Corkaayy@Euan_MacDonald This conversation literally started when a lad from the UK mentioned the UK. And it isn’t a sad testimony, it’s US policy in line with being the largest economy in the world and wanting to protect its own interests. Again, please shrug off the saviour complex.
@101Sargon@Corkaayy@Euan_MacDonald Ok now I know you’re either a parody or a child, so we can wrap this up. You’ve already established the UK isn’t in the EU and I don’t think the UK needs to take military instruction from the US in this case. Can I suggest you read international news sources &/or get a passport
