Incredible first day in San Antonio, such a uniquely amazing city! My grandparents had travelled to most of the world, and said this was their favourite place of all, and I can understand why! Finished off the day with this amazing tray from @PinkertonsBBQ 🇺🇸🤠🤤

Seeing so many videos of Europeans talking about how nice Americans are & how they don’t understand why we get a bad reputation.
I’ve seen some apologizing to us for having preconceived notions.
Bro, it’s the media. The media is never kind to America when they broadcast abroad. Hell, they ain’t even kind to us here.
But, it’s mostly the media that has caused such negative stereotypes about Americans.
It’s why there are so many Europeans who think that they don’t like us… until they come here 🥰
All Americans want is for yall to have the best time ever & we will absolutely help you do that!
World Cup tourists fall in love with middle America — raving about Waffle House at 1 a.m., Buc-ee's gas stations, and strangers driving them to stadiums in the rain. Oxford Economics expects 1.24 million international visitors for the tournament, and their viral posts are showcasing a side of the country most foreign media never covers.
I have spent the last few weeks watching foreigners discover America.
First it was the Amish.
Then Bourbon Street.
Then Buc-ee’s.
Now Chick-fil-A.
At this point I am convinced the path to world peace runs through a chicken sandwich, sweet tea, and a roadside convenience store the size of a small nation.
The world appears to be healing.
Europeans react to America:
“Unless you live in America, you can’t really comprehend how nice these areas are.”
The only way to keep it like that is to have strong borders, unlike Europe which has been overrun by the third world.
In 2007, the standards of living in the United States and Western Europe were similar, and most people don’t realize how much things have diverged since the US boomed after the global financial crisis and Europe didn’t.
They don’t fully understand how we’re living and we don’t fully understand how they’re living; even when we visit Europe as tourists, we don’t see their tiny, sad flats and their depressing grocery stores.
That is why Europeans visiting for the World Cup are going to, like, a Waffle House or a Taco Bell and losing their minds. Stuff we don’t even like or care about is wildly superior to everything everywhere else. We have no idea how rich we are.
People across the country rallying around a German tourist to make sure he and his friends have a great time is one of the best national stories we’ve had in awhile
Why are people still saying Americans are unfriendly, rude and arrogant? 🇺🇸
Over the past week I’ve received so many recommendations on what to do here I’ve been completely taken back by it. American hospitality is real, I can’t wait for the next few weeks.
