Thank you to the VBCPS Family Engagement Team for inviting @VBbehaviorists to talk about nurturing positive behaviors at home during this month's Parent Cafe!
Had a great time with @Newtown_E and @bfw_elem on their BIST PD days! Vision Team members did a wonderful job presenting helpful strategies to their coworkers!
Shout out to Newtown’s Leaders of Tomorrow Club, for putting on an amazing Black History Month Program! A special recognition to Mrs. Simpson who heads this club, put together this program, and finds ways for our Eagles to shine bright 🌟

Considering the following, thanks to #NAGCEquity symposium:
- It's hard to be interested in something one hasn't been exposed to.
- The student is an individual, not a stereotype. Teach the student.
- STEM should be structured and "intellectually messy". #KnowBetterDoBetter
@RhettAngela My biggest takeaway from this is that not all teachers' toolboxes will look the same, nor will all tools be used in the same way. What's important is that we focus on how we can #BeAboutIt for our kids in all learning environments. #NNPSChat
@RhettAngela I have used this for both elaborating and evaluating, but @Canva is a great way for students to demonstrate knowledge, explain a concept creatively, and/or produce something that can be evaluated with a rubric. #NNPSChat
@RhettAngela Choice boards can definitely be incorporated into playlists and/or rotations. I think the great thing about these three models is that they are not mutually exclusive, at least in my experience. #NNPSChat
@HART_EdTech Reflective questions have been really helpful to see how students are feeling with material and how I can better support their needs. #NNPSChat
@HART_EdTech Zoom chat is a great way for immediate feedback. I also use the comment ability when students submit @GoogleDocs, as they can be built upon and returned to later on. #NNPSChat
