After a long night last night, and a bad start to the morning this morning, I asked to myself “what else could happen today?”
That was surely a mistake, I’ve always been weird about my teeth, borderline ocd about them. Today I found a cavity on my wisdom tooth! 🥲

I wish more people talked about the filling that you get when you know you need to be baptized, when I was a kid and I was baptized, I did not understand what I was doing. I was just doing it so my mom would leave me alone.

And then the filling afterwards is just incredible because all that heavy weight you feel disappears. It did not click until it clicked and there are things still that I’m realizing today…. I wish more people talked about that though.

Another interesting tidbit,
My stepdad was raised freewill Baptist, his like 4x great grandfather was a church of Christ minister out in Darden, TN. My parents bought land, and the land happens to back up to that very congregation’s building.
I wish he could’ve known that…

His families history is so fascinating!
Mine is made up of Germans, Scots, patriots, natives, slave owners, freedmen, confederate soldiers and a general, a cousin who was the 6th president of Virginia Tech, owners of what was the Codrington sugar plantation in Barbados, etc.

My favorite stories are on my husband’s side. From sons of a loyalist Colonel hunting down and hanging the men that hung their father (and from the same biggerstaff hanging tree) to the confederates, to the Alamo, to chain gangs in parchmen for modifying weapons for Dixie mob…

My second baby, my bp was up, so I got sent straight to the hospital. I called my mom letting her know what was going on, bc I was scared, (my hubby was already otw) and she responded “okay, what do you want me to do”
Then showed up as I was being discharged.

@sub_fusion @appyobliged No you’re right, there is a cultural and historical divide. I know what you mean. I drive through the town I grew up in and it’s now got a gas station coming up on every corner, warehouses, a racial divide that the fires get stoked more and more each year… It’s sad…
