@mrTeigen I have never seen a radome ever crack on an access point - wow that is interesting. Thanks for posting that the brass “spitoon” antenna looks on damaged - I would’ve never anticipated that to happen unless it was in a freezer - FredN
@mrTeigen@jsnyder81@WiFivomFranMan You guys are funny, yes there is supposed to be a dash in this silly made up name that started out as WECA - unless of course you make a graphic logo like this - I promise Wi-Fi doesn’t really mean Wireless Internet For Idiots -honest- lol Fred 😝
@cantechit@DeniseFishburne Hey - I’m really sorry I couldn’t make it this year - some medical issues with family members - but DO very much appreciate the shoutout maybe next year or if you ever in the Ohio area I’ll walk you around the Richfield campus and buy lunch - all the best Fred oh and Hi Denise 😊
@mrTeigen@florwj@meraki The 9166i is designed for ceiling the 9166d1 with the articulated mount allows for wall or ceiling mount since its mounting system allows for the antenna to be pointed in the desired direction
@RaysBaseball Aww poor little AP - it’s still active and serving clients with its damaged antenna👍 - Thanks for sharing that - I’ll share this with my co-workers who design these products 😀 Fred N8CPI
@troymart@Cisco Thanks for the kind words - they just fixed the talk with the slides that didn’t show up when I presented live - check it out https://t.co/H9MzmRQW8v - ever wonder how that Access Point got created???
@JasonBeshara Jim Florwick will cover this 😀 in his MFD when we designed the 9136 the monitoring radio is in a socket - why? Well in testing here in Richfield we ran BOTH - then fine tuned the AI/ML radio to replace the ASIC - then integrated that radio on MB of the CW APs
@jsnyder81 Rebuilt a 10x10 Ft floating boat dock with new support beams and replaced the floor in just 2 days and also winterized the camper - sucks winter is coming already looking forward to spring…
Update - Enjoying retirement - hanging out with Larry Sparks - A Bluegrass Artist from my childhood 😊 figured I’d send a tweet - not all of us have them Lee Badmen sunsets to look at lol - but I’ll settle for picking guitar in the campgrounds… have a great weekend everyone -
@malief46 Inside that device are antennas in both orientations (H&V) and of sufficient low gain to create a reasonable “bubble” to cover a small area in any orientation - its not a typical AP optimized for ceilings - its a compromising antenna for hotel/hospital rooms not large coverage
@CharlieCrackle@HeyCisco Sorry for delay in reply- retired (for now) camping at Bluegrass music festivals, fishing - tinkering and not doing as much on-line - if u need more hit fredn dot com for ways to reach me 😊
@CharlieCrackle@HeyCisco There is collateral that stated ANT 9103 would do dual 5GHz - it is wrong unfortunately TTM, physical size, cost… caused a business decision to make changes from what I messaged - It happens when you pre-announce before product is complete- I apologize for this wish I cld fix it
