Coaches: Ask yourself “what does it feel like to be coached by me?” Do kids feel belittled, embarrassed, isolated? Or do they feel respected, listened to, included, wanted? Building relationships with players is imperative to a successful team. Players have to know that you care!

Just came across this tweet from a few years ago. To all you 21's about to be on a college campus in a few months...new teammates, new program, fighting for a roster spot...please remember this! You are exactly where you're supposed to be...keep working hard and never give up!!
The game became easier once I understood failure. I realized it didn’t matter how well I prepared, bad days were going to happen. It didn’t mean I was a bad player, it was just a bad day. Once I let the bad days roll off my shoulders, success became more frequent.
