I grew up admiring Messi. But over time, I’ve found myself relating more to Cristiano Ronaldo.

Not because he’s a better player. That’s a debate everyone can have for themselves.

What I admire is his mindset. The relentless self-belief. The refusal to shrink himself just to make other people comfortable.

Maybe that’s also why I find figures like Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Kanye West, and Andrew Tate so fascinating. Not because I agree with everything they say or do. I don’t.

But they all have one thing in common: they’re unapologetically confident.

We’ve been conditioned to believe that confidence should always come wrapped in humility. If you openly believe you’re great, people quickly label you arrogant, narcissistic, or full of yourself.

Of course, genuine arrogance exists. So does pride without substance.

But there’s also a strange tendency to punish people simply for believing in themselves, especially when they refuse to apologize for their ambition or success.

Confidence makes people uncomfortable because it challenges the unwritten rule that you’re supposed to downplay yourself to be accepted.

I’d rather be judged for believing in my potential than spend my life pretending I’m less capable than I know I can become.

There’s a difference between saying, “I’m better than everyone else,” and saying, “I know what I’m capable of.”

The world often confuses the second with the first.

This 67 year old man was forcefully evicted from his rented apartment in Lekki by men of the Nigerian Police at Ilasan Police Division alongside the Estate security.

He was beaten and brutalized as seen in the video and pictures below while the eviction was taking place.

He called his lawyer for help who rushed to the scene and took him to hospital but unfortunately he died.

Now the operatives on ground are claiming the man committed suicide.
