the only people upset with what vernon said are stans who:
1) think that kpop is only whatever songs their fave group makes
2) dont have the depth for the conversation because theyโve only been here after 2020 & dont listen to older kpop
3) dont listen to anything else other than kpop
4) dont understand what the hallyu wave is
5) see points number one through 4
he's not wrong and actually i miss KPOP way back 2012 - 2016 era, just look at EXO's HISTORY. kpop rn lost its spark bc they put more english lyrics than korean ๐
Vernon on Kpop
๐ปโโ๏ธ: I feel like Kpop sounds more and more like American pop instead of Kpop and i think a lot of people talk about that too so it makes me want to go back to like the 2000s or the early 2010s like when i was in elementary school like wonder girls, or big bang or 2NE1, all that.
I think itโs because kpop producers always try to bring American sounds to kpop and make it their own thing and i think right now they got to the point where theyโre too good. You canโt differentiate between Kpop and Pop, i mean you can but the gap has become more and more thin.
