I was driving today and saw a plastic bag flying across the road and immediately gripped the wheel harder, sunk into my seat and pushed my heels into the floorboards before remembering that cars do not, in fact, spook at plastic bags
Sky is gone. I had to put him down Thursday night and it feels like a surreal nightmare. It keeps hitting me again and again because it just doesn’t feel real
Went to a cardiologist to start a POTS eval since I’m probable for MCAS, but have overlapping symptoms and he’s like “so there’s sometimes a trifecta here….do you have any weird joint party tricks? Actually let’s go through some other things” anyways also have hEDS
Why is there NOTHING helpful about dermatographism and managing it???? It’s all just “Sorry! Learn to manage it!” Okay, surely there’s SOMETHING that helps alongside daily antihistamines???
@punsandponies 5% of the population has it and it just randomly develops in healthy people 🙃 they know certain things trigger it, but there’s no cure and it can last years and still flare up and come back love it so much
So it’s dermatographism, which I know is common but OOF knowing I’ll have to deal with it for years and it’s already impacted my day to day life these past 5 weeks is 0/10
Anyone have remedies or things they’ve found to help?

What do you mean a sinus infection from January turned into a respiratory infection that led to my histamine levels skyrocketing leading to rashes and hives breaking out from just my clothes touching me and prescription meds still haven’t helped AND ITS BEEN ALMOST TWO WEEKS?????
