@0xkitng They do it for fun, and I'm sure Nigerian infrastructure must have been easy game for them.
They don't care about the market value too, if they did, they would probably have the data behind tall paywalls after all the effort put into the attack.
@Akintola_steve My answer does not explain Abuja. It's not coastal + does not have much water (relative to some other states). I wonder why there would be data centers there.
@Akintola_steve The internet is transmitted via undersea cables. L and P are coastal cities, they're closer to cable landing stations than other states. So, data centers prefer them.
Servers also need to be cooled to perform optimally. Having water bodies close makes it easier and cheaper for t
@temivalentine_ True.
Software is still in infancy. I used to be concerned a lot for it's future and ours as its writers cause of AI. This just made me realize how much still needs to be done online, solving presence.... Now, I'm less worried π₯²
@temivalentine_ Presence and connection are mutually exclusive. You can feel and know someone is "present" yet not connect with that person - because they do not understand you/vice versa. None is not necessarily deeper than the other.
@honour_can_code Efficient is the better word. A feature powered by native abstractions can be done Vanilla but you'll have to rewrite code the abstraction provides for free.
It's like choosing to write your server from scratch, instead of using express, when it fits your needs. Inefficient.
@honour_can_code If you used "vanilla" instead of "native", your take on this matter would have been perfectly valid.
Also, assuming you used "vanilla", it's still wrong to say a language can not effectively perform a task because it needs native abstractions to do that...
If the tool is built on the language, it's not an external tool.
Your take would be valid if php devs HAD to use js to enable features. That would mean whatever feature they enabled is not native, but that's not the case here.
Laravel is to php what Nest is to js, a framework.
what are you even saying?
what i said, has nothing to do with what you just explained here.
iβm talking about it not relying on external technology and youβre referring to a low level viewβ¦.
