"It is indeed a pleasure and an honor to join the leaders of business and industry as we celebrate the opening of the 20th Tesanj Trade Fair.

Those of us in politics and diplomacy spend much of our lives studying or debating how “the pie” can be or should be divided. The Tesanj Fair is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the entrepreneurs who labor instead to make the pie bigger or to bake a second and a third pie.

Entrepreneurs:
• offer high-quality jobs to their fellow citizens,
• make the profits that drive economic growth
• pay the taxes that ensure the viability of our social safety net,
• and trade with neighboring states, raising living standards across the region and throughout the world.

Today in Fojnica, Acting High Representative Louis Crishock met with Mayor Sabahudin Klisura and Municipal Councillor, Igor Bosnjak to discuss the municipality’s economic potential, opportunities for attracting investment, and new prospects for sustainable economic growth and development. “Citizens deserve the best possible opportunities to raise their families in a thriving community with a secure and prosperous future. The goal for Fojnica, like every other municipality, should be to create the conditions that encourage people to stay in their communities and prosper rather than leave in search of better opportunities elsewhere.” said Acting High Representative Crishock. During the visit, Acting High Representative also visited the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Spirit. The Monastery complex also houses a museum, archive and library which preserve elements of the rich cultural and historical heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Concluding his visit to Fojnica, Crishock visited the local Red Cross offices, where he met with youth volunteers. The volunteers presented their goals and the work they do to support their community.

Вршилац дужности високог представника Луис Кришок се састао данас у Фојници са начелником Сабахудином Клисуром и вијећником у Општинском вијећу Игором Бошњаком како би разговарали о економским потенцијалима општине, могућностима за привлачење инвестиција те новим перспективама за одрживи економски раст и развој. „Грађани заслужују најбоље могуће прилике да стварају породице у напредној средини која има сигурну и просперитетну будућност. Циљ Фојнице, као и сваке друге општине, требао би бити стварање услова који подстичу људе да остану у мјестима у којима живе и напредују, умјесто да одлазе и траже боље шансе у неким другим срединама“, рекао је вршилац дужности високог представника Кришок. Током посјете, вршилац дужности високог представника је обишао и Фрањевачки самостан Духа Светога. У склопу самостанског комплекса налазе се музеј, архивa и библиотека који чувају елементе богатог културно-историјског наслијеђа Босне и Херцеговине. На крају обиласка Фојнице, Кришок је посјетио просторије локалног Црвеног крста, гдје се састао са младим волонтерима, који су представили своје циљеве и активности које спроводе како би пружили подршку заједници у којој живе.

Acting High Representative Louis J. Crishock extended a warm welcome to the new Ambassador of France to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Kévin Thuillier.

OHR appreciates France’s strong commitment to the shared goals of safeguarding Bosnia and Herzegovina’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, stability, and prosperity and values the close cooperation in support of these objectives.

Acting High Representative Crishock wished Ambassador Thuillier every success in his new role.

OHR cijeni snažan angažman Francuske usmjeren na ostvarivanje zajedničkih ciljeva, prije svega očuvanje suvereniteta, teritorijalnog integriteta, stabilnosti i prosperiteta Bosne i Hercegovine, te izražava zahvalnost na bliskoj suradnji i potpori tijekom aktivnosti na njihovoj realizaciji.

Unilateral calls for the abolition of an entity, just like calls for secession, independence, or unification with another state, are contrary to the constitutional framework of Bosnia and Herzegovina established under the Dayton Peace Agreement.

Citizens should not be misled by promises that cannot be fulfilled. Neither should fears and emotions be exploited for political gain.

Political leaders must respect the Constitution and should refrain from inflammatory rhetoric and focus instead on addressing the real needs of citizens.

Jednostrani pozivi na ukidanje entiteta, kao i pozivi na secesiju, nezavisnost ili ujedinjenje s drugom državom, suprotni su ustavnom okviru Bosne i Hercegovine uspostavljenom Daytonskim mirovnim sporazumom.

Građane se ne bi trebalo zavaravati obećanjima koja se ne mogu ispuniti, niti bi trebalo iskorištavati njihove emocije i strahove za političku korist.

Politički lideri moraju poštovati Ustav i trebaju se suzdržavati od huškačke retorike. Umjesto toga, trebaju se usredotočiti na rješavanje stvarnih potreba građana.

Acting High Representative Louis Crishock met with Tana de Zulueta, Head of the ODIHR Election Observation Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina. They had a constructive exchange on the current political situation and ongoing preparations for the upcoming General Elections on 4 October.
The meeting focused on the mandate and work of the ODIHR Election Observation Mission, as well as the importance of ensuring a transparent, credible, and inclusive electoral process in line with the highest democratic standards.
“New election technologies will contribute to this goal, strengthening the integrity of the electoral process and helping ensure that voters can be confident their votes are counted as cast,” said Crishock.

Вршилац дужности високог представника Луис Кришок се састао са Таном де Зулуета, шефицом Мисије за посматрање избора у БиХ, која дјелује у оквиру Канцеларије за демократске институције и људска права (ОDIHR). Током састанка су размијенили мишљења о актуелној политичкој ситуацији и одвијању припрема за предстојеће опште изборе који ће се одржати 4. октобра.
Централна тема разговора је био мандат и рад ОDIHR-ове Мисије за посматрање избора, као и важност осигуравања транспарентног, вјеродостојног и инклузивног изборног процеса, у складу са највишим демократским стандардима.
„Нове изборне технологије ће допринијети остваривању овог циља, јачању интегритета изборног процеса и осигуравању повјерења бирача да ће њихов глас бити пребројан онако како је дат”, рекао је Кришок.

Acting High Representative Louis J. Crishock paid tribute to Croat civilians killed in Grabovica in September 1993.
“We gather in remembrance of innocent lives taken and in solidarity with their loved ones and with all who continue to carry the wounds of war. May we never forget them, and may their memory strengthen our commitment to peace, reconciliation, and a prosperous future for Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Crishock.

Vršitelj dužnosti visokoga predstavnika Louis J. Crishock odao je počast hrvatskim civilima ubijenim u Grabovici u rujnu 1993. godine.
„Okupili smo se u znak sjećanja na nevino oduzete živote i u znak solidarnosti s njihovim najmilijima i svima onima koji i dalje osjećaju posljedice rata. Nikada ih ne smijemo zaboraviti, a sjećanje na njih neka bude dodatni motiv da nastavimo raditi na očuvanju mira, pomirenja i izgradnji prosperitetne budućnosti za Bosnu i Hercegovinu”, rekao je Crishock.

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s future cannot be built by glorifying those responsible for the gravest crimes of the past. A future marked by peace, prosperity and mutual understanding must be grounded in respect for the dignity of every victim and respect for the truth, including as established by international and domestic tribunals.
Ratko Mladić was a convicted war criminal who died while serving a life sentence. He was found guilty by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia of genocide in Srebrenica, and crimes against humanity. These convictions were upheld on appeal.
Glorification of convicted war criminals, and denial of genocide and other war crimes create divisions, cause further pain to victims and their families, and undermine reconciliation.
The OHR stands in solidarity with all victims, survivors, and their families.

Budućnost Bosne i Hercegovine ne može se graditi na osnovu veličanja onih koji su odgovorni za najteže zločine iz prošlosti. Budućnost u kojoj vlada mir, prosperitet i međusobno razumijevanje mora biti utemeljena na poštovanju dostojanstva svake žrtve i poštovanju istine, uključujući i činjenice utvrđene pred međunarodnim i domaćim sudovima.
Ratko Mladić bio je osuđeni ratni zločinac koji je preminuo služeći kaznu doživotnog zatvora. Međunarodni krivični tribunal za bivšu Jugoslaviju proglasio ga je krivim za genocid u Srebrenici i zločine protiv čovječnosti. Ove osuđujuće presude potvrđene su i u žalbenom postupku.
Veličanje osuđenih ratnih zločinaca, kao i negiranje genocida i drugih ratnih zločina, stvaraju podjele, nanose dodatnu bol žrtvama i njihovim porodicama, te ugrožavaju proces pomirenja.
OHR izražava solidarnost sa svim žrtvama, preživjelima i njihovim porodicama.

The Acting High Representative expressed his gratitude to the United States for its continued and steadfast support for a peaceful, stable and prosperous Bosnia and Herzegovina and to OHR’s mandate and role that remain pivotal to achieving these objectives.

Acting High Representative Louis Crishock met today in Sarajevo with Dame @KarenPierceUK ,UK Special Envoy to the Western Balkans. The discussion focused on the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with particular emphasis on the need to advance decisive and substantive reforms necessary to move the country forward, including in its European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations. The Acting High Representative expressed his appreciation to the United Kingdom for its steadfast commitment to upholding peace, stability and prosperity in Bosnia and Herzegovina and for its continued support to the OHR mandate and engagement to that end.

Разговор је био фокусиран на тренутну политичку ситуацију у Босни и Херцеговини, са посебним нагласком на потреби за даљим провођењем одлучних и суштинских реформи, које су неопходне за напредовање ове земље, укључујући и остварење њених тежњи за чланством у европским и евроатлантским интеграцијама. Acting High Representative Louis Crishock attended the “Distinguished Visitors’ Day” for EUFOR’s exercise “Quick Response 2026” in Mostar. Such events demonstrate continued commitment of the international community to supporting peace, stability and security in Bosnia and Herzegovina. “The importance of continued and close cooperation of international partners and local authorities, as well as the international community’s sustained commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, cannot be overstated,” said Crishock.

„Vinogradarstvo je dio identiteta i načina života Hercegovine. Događaji poput berbe grožđa predstavljaju divnu priliku da se ljudi okupe, proslave tradiciju koja se prenosi generacijama, kao i da se većem broju posjetitelja pоkažu krajolici, okusi i gostoprimstvo koji ovaj dio Bosne i Hercegovine čine tako posebnim. Vršitelj dužnosti visokoga predstavnika Louis Crishock sastao se danas u Mostaru s mostarsko-duvanjskim biskupom Petrom Palićem, nastavljajući niz razgovora s vjerskim čelnicima iz cijele Bosne i Hercegovine.
Razgovarali su o značajnoj ulozi međureligijskog angažmana i dijaloga u jačanju društvene kohezije i poticanju međusobnoga razumijevanja u društvu.

Acting High Representative Louis Crishock met today in Mostar with the Bishop of Mostar-Duvno, Petar Palić, continuing a series of dialogues with religious leaders from across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Their discussion focused on the vital role of interreligious engagement and dialogue in strengthening social cohesion and fostering mutual understanding within society.

“Interreligious dialogue creates space for communities to listen to one another, build trust, and work together on issues that affect society as a whole,” said Acting High Representative Crishock.
“By promoting respect, tolerance, and cooperation, religious communities can make a valuable contribution to building more inclusive Bosnia and Herzegovina.
