@jan_murray Yes. Network TV was designed back then for anyone to be able to jump in at any point and understand what was going on. They still want new viewers in later seasons but also can’t expect people to go buy all the DVD’s and binge watch over 100 hours of TV. It’s called a procedural.
@fictionalangst 100% disagree. ARTISTS present their art the way they want it presented. You then get to decide as a human with free will if you want to pay to see that. They’re not dancing monkeys.
@thealexiskraft you consider it a perfectly normal thing because you grew up with it. personally i never take my phone out a show, nor do i have any desire to and I have great memories from shows.
@Lessthnmisrble@margotcatgirl there was a nightclub fire in sweden or switzerland and it ended up being MORE dangerous because instead of evacuating people were standing around filming.
@THESESPARK@margotcatgirl I am 99.9% sure that if someone fainted one of the first things staff would do would be to unlock their phone. Do you have medical alert jewellery? Because my first thought if someone faints is to give first aid, not to check their phone even if it’s unlocked.
@karmabttws@canadiandynasty so what happens if your phone falls from your hand while you’re running and gets lost or trampled? like cmon. you need to have some ability to survive in the world without your phone for five minutes.
@kaylienki@canadiandynasty Again, they broke the law. Did you try speaking to anyone else? Go to the box office or first aid or anyone who works for the venue?
