Why did I cry with Ronaldo 😭😭

During an interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo was shown rare footage of his late father, José Dinis Aveiro - a video he had never seen before. The moment the clip played, Ronaldo broke down in tears. You could see the shock, the pain, and the longing all at once.

His father, who struggled with alcoholism and passed away in 2005 at just 52, spoke proudly about his son’s achievements… yet Ronaldo never got to hear those words while his father was alive.

Ronaldo said through tears:
“I never saw the video. Unbelievable.”
When asked how it felt to hear his father express pride, he admitted it hit him deeply.
He added, “I really didn’t know my father 100%. He was a drunk person… I never spoke with him like a normal conversation. It was hard.”

Ronaldo was only 20 when he lost his dad, long before the world titles, the five Ballon d’Ors, the Champions League wins, the Euro 2016 victory, and everything else that made him a global legend.
