i was driving home and had to pass by one of Bangkok’s district offices. i stopped the car to let a man in a white dress shirt cross the street
mae : oh that guy is so handsome. he could be an actor
so i took a closer look at his face
: mae! he actually is an actor. it’s Joong!
mae : huh? which Joong?

chapter 5 – Greeting (part 1)
the evening of the seventh day
it was almost 5 o’clock in the evening
Kin stepped out onto the balcony to enjoy the breeze - watching the day’s last rays of sunlight slowly sink behind the line of tall buildings
before the sky above Bangkok was dyed a muted orange mixed with gray
the young man next door was sitting on the balcony as usual on that white folding chair
a cigarette was held between his fingers
the tip of the cigarette glowed faintly from time to time
Kin watched the pale stream of smoke drift slowly upward before the cool evening breeze scattered it into nothingness
the young man next door smoked at an unhurried pace his gaze fixed on the view ahead
he didn’t turn to look at Kin
even though he came out to smoke every day he had never once thought of turning to look
but Kin knew the other man knew
knew that he, too … stood here every single day
yet neither of them said a word
the 2 of them simply went about their own business
even so…
the more Kin looked at that calm .. composed figure
the more restless he became

👩🏻: a leading actor just called me a moment ago to complain. he was driving to Kanchanaburi but took the wrong route. when he tried to make a u-turn he ran into a police checkpoint. the officers wouldn’t let him turn around and told him to keep driving for another 70 km before there would be a place where he could make a u-turn. he “that’s basically like telling someone to drive all the way to Pattaya before coming back! mae” … so mae asked him “do you have enough gas?” he replied “almost not” - Joong said “i just filled up half a tank” then mae aáked “why only half a tank?” he said “i asked for a full tank but they only filled it halfway…” cue screaming laughter. this is just another day in the life of a 25-year-old guy. and if filming finishes late tonight he’ll have to drive all the way back home too cause he’s too scared to stay in a hotel anymore… he’s afraid of ghosts
