Actually I would say its pretty weird for hoyo to have lines calling their only Harbinger from the Sumeru desert, a place where the inhabitants are already racially segregated and treated as inferior, one of the apparently worst insults in that language

On the flip side I do think it's racist of the Genshin writers to blame all of the bad things happening in the Fatui on Dottore considering he's the only one who came from a nation allegorical to SWANASA countries, I just think the primary reason is that they're lazy and cowardly

i agree that it's stupid to ask sandrone to show empathy. but still it IS strange that dottore is that demonized when he wasnt the only one who did terrible things. alice did morally bad things, rhinedottir too, and the fatui are colonizers. sandrone ripped someones tongue out,
