#YashChopra Indian cinema to my taste🎥🎞️
With 9 films already watched I can say: they might be too long, might have some flaws but I like them all.
#Deewar#VeerZaara the best.
I need to finish Kabhi Kabhie one day and see one or two more
"Behind the Beats" Lagaan is a great supplement to the story about filmmaking already told in exceptional documentary Chale Chalo Madness in the Desert.
Again shows that film making is a passionate collaborative effort of artists from different fields

@MHeerins One more thing I remember from Love Aaj Kal: I didn't recognise Saif in his second (retrospective) character for big part of this film🙂
Have you watched Jab We Met? Evergreen Imtiaz's early romcom. Quite light & lovable
@MHeerins For me Love Aaj Kal was "ok". Nothing impactful, nothing that put me off. Other Imtiaz Ali's films evoked the whole spectrum of emotion from love to hate 😀

With positive reviews imerging here today I'm intrigued.
Love story with historical backdrop.
ARRahman delivered soulful soundtrack👌 And I have a soft spot for Imtiaz Ali's films.
Waiting for the shows in Poland👇, maybe I'll get there🤔
Main Vaapas Aaunga is not perfect, but I fell in love with the film. A newer Imtiaz Ali, a vintage Naseer. Instant favourite.

REVIEW: #MainVaapasAaunga
RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
'Main Vaapas Aaunga' is a meditation on memory, longing, and the invisible threads that connect people to places they once called home.
Set against the backdrop of the Partition, the film unfolds with emotional sincerity and a quiet sense of heartbreak that lingers long after the credits roll.
The performances are among the film’s strongest points. #DiljitDosanjh brings remarkable restraint to his role. He conveys deep emotion without resorting to dramatic excess. #Sharvari delivers one of her most mature performances to date by balancing vulnerability and strength with admirable ease. #VedangRaina continues his impressive rise with a portrayal marked by sensitivity and conviction, while Naseeruddin Shah makes every scene he inhabits feel richer.
Special applause must be reserved for director #ImtiazAli. In an era that often rewards safe choices, Ali demonstrates admirable conviction in telling a deeply personal story rooted in history, memory, and human connection. His belief in the material is visible in every frame. Rather than chasing spectacle, he trusts emotion, and that faith pays off.
A.R. Rahman’s music is hauntingly beautiful and seamlessly woven into the narrative. The songs elevate the emotional landscape of the movie masterfully. Cinematography captures both the scale of history and the intimacy of personal loss with equal finesse.
Production design, costumes, and sound design work together to create an immersive world that feels authentic and lived-in.
If there is one area where the film could have been stronger, it is the editing. A few stretches feel slightly indulgent.
Even so, these are minor reservations in an otherwise deeply affecting cinematic experience.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 🎥

Having this film on my radar since first announcements.
The topic, the cast, ARRahman, Rajkumar Santoshi, Santosh Sivan & Aamir Khan as a producer. Very promising.
Hope it will be released here🤞

@FilmyKitty Thank you for your effort and the fun I had here.
Feeling sad because it was one of the very few activities that kept me engaged here recently...
