BREAKING & IMPORTANT: The 2nd Army Area warns the public that Cambodia has ordered a troop withdrawal, anticipating a barrage of PHL-03 missiles covering several Thai provinces.

On July 27, yhe 2nd Army Region issued a warning stating that Cambodia has ordered a withdrawal, and it is expected to fire multiple PHL-03 missiles simultaneously over a long distance of up to 130 kilometers. The radius will cover all of Ubon Ratchathani, Surin, Sisaket, Buriram provinces.

And parts of Yasothon (Maha Chana Chai, Kho Wang districts), Roi Et (Muang Suang, Suwannaphum, Phon Sai, Phanom Phrai, Nong Hi, Kaset Wisai, Pathum Rat districts), Maha Sarakham (Phayakkhaphum Phisai district), Nakhon Ratchasima (several southern districts).

Major General Winthai Suvaree, Army spokesperson, addressed on July 27 the latest situation, stating that Cambodia continues its military activities by employing long-range weapons and firing into Thai territory. Continuous clashes have occurred at multiple points along the front lines, with numerous long-range support weapons landing outside their intended military target areas in Surin Province.

Thailand therefore finds it necessary to conduct military operations in response to the continued firing of long-range support weapons such as rockets and artillery that persist in targeting Thai territory to prevent civilian casualties or losses.

Yesterday (July, 26, 2025), at approximately 3:30 p.m., Cambodian artillery shells targeted the Sub-district Health Promoting Hospital at Ban Sam Meng, Village 3, Sao Thong Chai Sub-district, Kantharalak District, Si Sa Ket Province, causing severe damage to the building structure. However, there were no fatalities or injuries, as medical personnel had previously evacuated patients from the facility.

Furthermore, intelligence reports indicate potential deployment of high-performance weapons systems such as PHL-03, RM 70, and BM-21 that may provide additional support to Cambodian forces. This may reflect Cambodia's stance, which Thailand cannot yet trust. According to the latest situation, Cambodian forces have not ceased their attacks using all forms of weaponry against Thai forces.

The Royal Thai Army will operate at full capacity to counter this aggression and reaffirms its continued focus on military targets that pose military threats and endanger the lives and property of our fellow citizens only, within the appropriate framework of international rules of engagement, to protect and maintain sovereignty to the best of our ability. #thailand

This morning, July 27, the state-owned NBT Connext Facebook page reported that Cambodia opened fire on Thailand early this morning in the area of Phanom Dong Rak District, Surin Province.

Details provided include:
At 06:40 AM, artillery shells from the Cambodian side hit civilian homes in Surin Province, causing damage due to fire. There are no reports of injuries or deaths yet. Officials currently cannot fully investigate the details as shelling continues intermittently.
The situation on the Thai-Cambodian border in Surin Province began with gunfire around 04:30-04:40 AM. The sounds were heard coming from the Cambodian side, firing into Thailand in the area of Ta Khwai Temple. The sounds then continued intermittently from both Thai and Cambodian sides, expanding to the Chong Chom area.

Around 05:30 AM, heavy weapon fire from the Cambodian side, similar to a BM-21, was reported to have hit the Thai side, prompting Thailand to retaliate with heavy weapons as well.

As of 07:00 AM, the sound of heavy weapons continues intermittently.

This morning's renewed shelling from the Cambodian side comes after US President Donald Trump spoke by phone last night with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and Thailand's Acting Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai.
