@shrey_g@newsyc200 I finally got around checking what's wrong. It seems Twitter API is blocking all links posted by @newsyc200 because "they have been identified as potentially harmful." I suspect it's because each tweet links to a site with the word "hacker" in its name.
@healeyio@newsyc20@newsyc50 I’ll definitely look into it. The current implementation isn’t best suited for running multiple instances and I’d like to refactor it a bit. A Mastodon version has also been requested 🙂 Can’t promise anything as I’m a bit short on time on a parental leave right now.
Of course people can create a Mastodon account and continue using Twitter. I’m not saying Twitter is doomed but rather that this Mastodon thing might be going somewhere now
Small sample sizes, but… I follow around 600 accounts on Twitter of which roughly one third is tweeting at all. 33 of these accounts now exists on Mastodon, so that’s about 15% of active accounts I follow. Most of them created during last couple of days (me included)
I know TV manufacturers will always find innovative ways to sell more TVs but what's the next step after 4K / 120Hz? You can't see the individual pixels anymore and it's hard to notice 240Hz vs 120Hz. Will there be a push for 8K TVs during next Olympics? Why?
