At this point, the situation is exhausting. This skit clearly depicts a rising issue in the nursing workforce. A black nurse/caretaker was caught stealing from her elderly clients and then tried to justify her actions by claiming she “needed it for her kids” and that she shouldn’t be arrested. In all honesty, the United States should require nurses and caretakers to pass thorough background checks and competency tests to ensure that those entrusted with caring for the elderly are genuinely committed to their well-being—not exploiting them. For her to callously defend stealing by saying the man “is dying anyway” is not only deeply disrespectful but also disturbingly warped.
