@AndyTFE I feel this is best handled like Patrick Boyd handled slow play at Sweetens Cove. Not a written down rule, but an understood expectation with consequences that exceed just breaking a rule. @BBandFCo
“The second green at Machrihanish might be one of the most beautiful in all of links golf. It’s a true lay-of-the-land green; any artful intervention from man is barely recognisable.”
🎤 @CunninGolf for @fried_egg_golf.
@LarryBoorstein@dcklee11@CollinRugg Larry I feel bad for you. Please come to TN and you can practice jumping off stuff into the water with me. It’s not as bad as you think.
@_LFGolf @practicalgolf No still 1 or 2 down. People learning to make good contact are often trying to help it up which leads to a lot of fat and thin shots. Low point has can’t be before the ball if it’s not on a tee. Which means the club head is going down at impact.
This has to be one of the strangest decisions of @pgatour when it comes to being in the entertainment business. If it was up to me I’d be focusing more on Monday qualifiers. There’s a movie script story nearly every week. I’d give the leading qualifier a tv draw and get a tv crew to follow him for the week. I would do this even more so in the signature events. We could have a “tin cup” story any given week. Could you imagine a struggling pro finishing in the top 10 and winning half a million. Nobody would begrudge that payout.
