THE OLODO CULTURE.

Growing up, they told us:

“DANGOTE IS A DROPOUT.”

They didn’t tell us DANGOTE actually GRADUATED.

They didn’t tell us he studied BUSINESS STUDIES AND ADMINISTRATION in EGYPT.

They didn’t tell us he came from a BUSINESS FAMILY.

They didn’t tell us he started trading with a SUBSTANTIAL LOAN from his UNCLE.

Question:

At that age, did you have an UNCLE who could lend you that kind of CAPITAL?

They told us BILL GATES dropped out.

They didn’t tell us he had been PROGRAMMING since he was a TEENAGER.

They didn’t tell us he attended HARVARD.

They didn’t tell us he had access to COMPUTERS at a time when COMPUTERS were not common.

They told us MARK ZUCKERBERG dropped out.

They didn’t tell us FACEBOOK already had MOMENTUM before he left HARVARD.

They didn’t tell us he was surrounded by HARVARD-LEVEL TALENT.

They didn’t tell us INVESTORS later put serious MONEY behind the idea.

They told us STEVE JOBS dropped out.

They didn’t tell us he kept attending CLASSES that interested him.

They didn’t tell us one of those CLASSES later influenced the DESIGN CULTURE of APPLE.

They gave us the HEADLINES.

They hid the FOUNDATION.

But that’s not even the POINT.

The real problem is the OLODO CULTURE.

I have watched people say:

“SCHOOL NA SCAM.”

I have watched PELLER mock CIVIL SERVANTS.

I have watched people mock TEACHERS, LECTURERS and “BOOK PEOPLE.”

I have watched people measure INTELLIGENCE only by how much NOISE someone can make ONLINE.

But here is where they shoot themselves in the FOOT.

The MICROPHONE they use to shout “SCHOOL NA SCAM.”

The CAMERA they use to record the VIDEO.

The RING LIGHT.

The SMARTPHONE.

The EDITING APP.

TIKTOK.

INSTAGRAM.

YOUTUBE.

The INTERNET.

The MOBILE NETWORK.

The BANK APP they use to receive MONEY.

Who built all these things?

Not VIBES.

Not CRUISE.

Not “STREET OT.”

Not NOISE.

ENGINEERS.

SCIENTISTS.

MATHEMATICIANS.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS.

MEDICAL RESEARCHERS.

TECHNICIANS.

DESIGNERS.

People who sat down for YEARS to understand things ORDINARY PEOPLE don’t even see.

In ENGINEERING, for instance, you don’t just look at LIFE casually.

You convert REAL LIFE into ABSTRACT THINKING.

You turn MOTION into EQUATIONS.

You turn PRESSURE into VARIABLES.

You turn HEAT into MODELS.

You turn UNCERTAINTY into PROBABILITY.

You turn INVISIBLE FORCES into X and Y.

You study DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS.

You study THERMODYNAMICS.

You study FLUID MECHANICS.

You study CONTROL SYSTEMS.

You study SIGNAL PROCESSING.

You study MATERIALS.

You study FAILURE.

You simulate WHAT MAY HAPPEN BEFORE IT HAPPENS.

That is the kind of DEEP THINKING people reduce to “SCHOOL NA SCAM.”

Meanwhile, the WORLD they enjoy was built from that same ABSTRACT THINKING.

Your PHONE did not fall from HEAVEN.

Your CAMERA did not come from VIBES.

Your MICROPHONE did not come from COMEDY.

Your DATA NETWORK did not come from DANCING ON TIKTOK.

Someone studied ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES.

Someone studied SEMICONDUCTOR PHYSICS.

Someone studied SIGNAL PROCESSING.

Someone studied COMPUTER ARCHITECTURE.

Someone wrote the SOFTWARE.

Someone designed the BATTERY.

Someone built the OPERATING SYSTEM.

Someone designed the SATELLITES.

Someone built the FIBRE OPTIC CABLES.

Someone created the COMPRESSION ALGORITHMS that allow your VIDEOS to UPLOAD.

Then someone who does not respect KNOWLEDGE picks up the FINAL PRODUCT and says EDUCATION IS USELESS.
