After sending NIDCOM and Abike Dabiri the phone number of Ekene about a week ago. I called Ekene, only for him to tell me no one reached out! I was sad.

I sent a message stating the obvious, Abike Dabiri tried to deflect the matter by saying some of the people in India had already been granted Amnesty, I must confess that’s a distraction because for some months, I had been highlighting the plight of Ekene and other Nigerians in this camp.

Here is what to do:

STEP 1 — Get your account ready

STEP 2 — Decide how much you can afford

Do not use your rent, emergency fund or borrowed money.

An IPO is still an investment. The share price can rise or fall after listing.

Set your maximum amount before excitement takes over.

STEP 3 — Read the prospectus

The reported offer is 4.1 billion shares at ₦525 each, which could raise about ₦2.15 trillion.

But ₦525 is only a price. It does not tell you whether the shares are cheap or expensive.

The SEC reportedly registered 120.13 billion existing shares alongside the 4.1 billion-share offer.

That would give approximately 124.23 billion shares after the offer.

124.23 billion × ₦525 = roughly ₦65.2 trillion.

That is the valuation investors must examine against the refinery’s earnings, cash flow, debt and growth prospects.

A great company can still be a poor investment if you pay too much for it.

STEP 5 — Apply through the official channel

The order book is reportedly expected to open on September 14, but confirm the date and full terms in the official offer documents.

Once the offer is live, you can apply through @ZedcrestWealth .

Applying early can help you avoid last-minute KYC or payment problems. It does not guarantee preferential allocation. The allotment rules in the prospectus will determine what every applicant receives.

STEP 6 — Prepare for any outcome
