Having one partner is a flex. Being so in love with one person that they’re the only person you want to talk to, the only person you want to see, the only person you want to be around, the only person you want touching you, and the only person you want to have s3x with… that’s a flex.
We got the game fvcked up thinking having multiple partners is the prize.
normalize calling out family members for their bs. too many adults act ridiculous because no one ever checked them “in the name of family.” but keeping peace by enabling bad behavior isn’t love. it’s dysfunction. call it out. set the boundary. say the hard thing. “family” is not a free pass to be disrespectful, manipulative, or cruel. if you wouldn’t tolerate it from a friend, don’t tolerate it from family.
If you have to "play it cool" just to keep someone, the relationship is already teaching you to betray yourself. Suppressing your needs doesn't make you low-maintenance. It makes you invisible.
Don't play it cool.
Be real 💯
You can't feel secure with someone who is inconsistent, no matter how much you love them or how long you've stayed. Waiting for someone to become reliable isn't the same as building a healthy relationship together.
I know someone who keeps asking, "Are you seeing someone?" as if there's a prize to be won for being in a relationship. Must everything revolve around men? The funniest part? He's married. Eww..! 🙄
