I’m hyped right now. @ladykachi1 and @bolutifeawakan came around yesterday and we went through some of the products I’ve been building (mostly for creatives) and they were surprised that I don’t talk about those products here. So I guess it’s time to put in more work and post more.
TwentyThree: Documenting the people, tech and startups shaping Africa and its Future.
For years, I've told the stories of the innovators building Africa and its future, from my own POV.
I've asked the questions. I've unpacked the companies.
I've tried to make sense of what's happening beneath the surface.
But the most interesting stories are often the ones only the builders can tell.
The conviction behind the idea.
The bets that almost didn't work.
The failures nobody saw.
The decisions that changed everything.
Now, I want to give the builders the mic.
Their companies. Their challenges. Their decisions. Their stories. Their POV.
Beyond the company. Into the builder.
A lot of designers have been asking me where I get my inspiration from.
So I spent the entire night going through my saved archives, links, bookmarks and design rabbit holes I’ve collected over time.
And I finally put everything together.
Agencies. Designers. Behance pages. Instagram accounts. X accounts. Case studies. Inspiration archives and more.
One thing though: please do not just scroll looking for something to copy. STUDY.
Look at the thinking behind the identity. Look at the problem they are solving. Study the typography, grids, colours, mockups and art direction. Study how they move from strategy to identity.
Even study projects you do not like and ask yourself WHY.
