As if what Dr.Moumita Debnath, was subjected to by her rapist(s) -murderer(s), at #RGKAR Hospital in Kolkata was not enough, I am speechless to learn that her parents were subjected to apathetic, inhumane & insensitive treatment by the Hospital authorities when they went to see their dead child at her place of work.
Apparently they were initially told their daughter had died by suicide, and when they went to her work place, devastated, shocked & confused, they were made to wait for 3 hours just to see her, naked & dead!

The sheer shamelessness of some people to call this “Suicide”, “alleged rape & murder”makes me wonder how much lower we are going to sink.
And then there are numerous doubts, rightly so, being raised by well meaning students & well wishers there, who are certain multiple people were involved in this brutal crime, that the authorities are eager to close this case in order to protect some powerful people involved, whispers of Dr.Debnath being a possible whistleblower-who was punished for daring to do what was right, the disgustingly poor condition of the hospital room- which some are saying was the actual crime scene that has deliberately been compromised, further raises questions on the intentions of those in power.
How many more Dr.Debnaths will we have to witness, before the society truly wakes up & actually does something to contain the evil?

Dr.Debnath, I can’t begin to imagine what you must have been through, words fail me.

Dear Mom & Dad of Dr.Debnath, I don’t know what to say to you, my sincere condolences to you 🙏🙏🙏
