@MobileTenant tbh I don't, he's badmouthing women like his mom who paid for his hospital, school, food, etc. as a kid and defending his deadbeat dad cus he now calls him "once a week", they always hype up men for the bare minimum and ignore their mother's sacrifices, sad for the mom tho.
@elemayohoh @MobileTenant you are so ignorant omfg, when women didn't have jobs they were financially dependent meaning their SO's could cheat on them, abuse them, neglect them etc. and they had no choice but to stay. They were minimised to CHILDREN with no autonomy over their lives.
@elemayohoh @AspenKiraa @Soo39058795f @MobileTenant@OriginalBigMa@Full__trip@juliannarvivas -And women are often primary caregivers of children so they have to be fiscally responsible for their children all whilst paying lawyer fees while the man does nothing. Also discrimination against mothers in the workplace: mothers are least likely get raises and thus paid less.
@elemayohoh @AspenKiraa @Soo39058795f @MobileTenant@OriginalBigMa@Full__trip@juliannarvivas I meant lawyer fees* my bad and alimony isn't requested in every divorce, most divorces don't pay it. It's only required if the spouse was a stay at home spouse and financially dependent. Even then it's temporary.-
@elemayohoh @AspenKiraa @Soo39058795f @MobileTenant@OriginalBigMa@Full__trip@juliannarvivas Divorce costs should, by law, charge higher on the breadwinning spouse, not the one with less money, yet the brunt of the alimony costs go onto women because of systemic sexist. So no, it's not because 'men earn more', or they should be having to pay more.
@elemayohoh @AspenKiraa @Soo39058795f @MobileTenant@OriginalBigMa@Full__trip@juliannarvivas Then why do men not lose any money when they move from a single income? Women are charged higher, unfair costs in alimony because of systemic sexism, that's reality and thus marriage is more harmful for women than men.
@elemayohoh @AspenKiraa @Soo39058795f @MobileTenant@OriginalBigMa@Full__trip@juliannarvivas "In the USA, women experienced a substantial fall in equivalised household incomes compared to their pre-divorce incomes. (de Vaus et al. 2015)", 2015 is only 7 years ago, wake up to reality.
@elemayohoh @AspenKiraa @Soo39058795f @MobileTenant@OriginalBigMa@Full__trip@juliannarvivas "Peterson (1996) quantified the resulting gender gap for the United States, estimating a 27 % decline among women and a 10 % increase among men in their standard of living", Is the United States europe to you?? ๐ญ๐ญ
