When I was in Kyiv a few weeks ago I saw first hand the strength and bravery of the Ukrainian people. I’m grateful that President Trump’s team is engaging directly with Ukraine and Russia. That the attacks resumed as soon as our representatives left Ukraine is even more evidence that Putin cannot be trusted and does not want peace. The US and our allies must continue to stand together in support of Ukraine and do all we can to bring this war to an end.

The in-person congressional townhall may soon be a thing of the past.

Only 11 members of Congress thus far are hosting townhalls this month, braving constituents who might him or her an earful of praise or scorching criticism.

@LarrySnow1955 @burgessev @JohnCornyn Even if we don't have the money to help (although we already budgeted for it), I want to highlight that HIV is not just infecting promiscuous men, but it is also harming children. They cannot abstain or escape from this crisis.

@AndrewTWalker Andrew, if this man committed the crime 20 years ago, already served his sentence, now has kids of his own and his own victim was asking for the pardon...would that change your views here? I am inclined to think we are punishing him a second time after he already served his time

@crymorelib1 @DHSgov @GovTimWalz Revoking his citizenship now doesn't protect any more children if he is no longer a threat. He already served his time and his victim asked for him to be pardoned. Keep him away from kids, yes. Deport him now and separate him from his own kids? No. Now more kids are being harmed.

@crymorelib1 @DHSgov @GovTimWalz When you serve your sentence for a crime, you should be allowed to re-enter society and show you have changed. That is what his community says he has done and that has led to the pardon. If this is true, deportation would punish him again for crimes he already paid for.

@DHSgov Considering there are 75 nations where we have halted green card applications, this will, in some cases, indefinitely separate spouses and children by this decision. This will cause generational, community and economic damage to America.
